Just Received this E-Mail from Sis. Marie Anderson.

Megan is out of ICU!! The Dr. looks for her to only have to be in the hospital another week. She is going to have to have therapy because of no strength in her legs and arms. We pray for a quick strengthening in her legs and arms. Praise God for unfailing love and mercy.
Praise God our God is an on time God.  Keep remembering Megan in prayer.

1/15/2008 I just received this e-mail from Theresa Carter

There are some folks that I do not have email addresses for... some folks have chosen not to keep in touch over the past two years with Mark and I so any of you can pass the word along about his last test results...

When he had a full body scan done last May the cancer was still in his neck... after that he had another treatment in the hospital along with many other harsh treatments prior to that the year before...

He went to the hospital again this past Dec of 2007 and went through another I 131 full body scan and the test came back negative!

We are both GRATEFUL to the LORD for HIS MERCY!
No one knows like Mark does the suffering that he has been through. Even our kids and I have been the nearest to him during this time. and we watched the life drain from him... it has not been easy at all these past two years... but the Lord has rewarded Mark's faith and the faith of others who have prayed and believed for the healing of his stage four cancer.

Click to see Mark's December Scan Results

He will go back in June of this year (08) unless he has any unusual symptoms (which we are believing that he will not have)...

While I am at it... thanks to those of you that have prayed for my dad (who is at home on Home Health Care. He was in the hospital for a month in November and still cannot be left alone.

Also, thanks to those of you that know that my mother was in the hospital the week before Christmas... She needs continual prayer as well.

Most recently, my grandfather (my dad's father) who is also on home health care, just got out of the hospital (after a five day hospital stay...) we would appreciate your prayers for him as well and for my grandmother's strength. (She is 89 and he will be 93 in March and they live at home by their selves...)

Thanks to my SISTER AND HER ENTIRE FAMILY for the love and sacrifice they made this past week... by Lorie and her children staying in Louisville to help us all out up here... I don't know what we Carter's would do without you! (Thanks Wendell for doing without my sis for almost a week so we could have her around... I know it was a sacrifice on your part as well as hers to be here!

To the whole wide world... in a few weeks Mark and I will be grandparents... pray for Matthew and Ashley as they enter into the greatest job of all time... raising a little one and teaching it the things of the Lord... (Pray for Ashley folks... she has gestational diabetes...).

All in all... we are hanging in there with the help of the Lord... Thanks again to those of you that have remembered all of my family in your prayers,

Sincerely,
Theresa Carter and Family

3/29/2007 Bro. Dean called last night; he went through the surgery very well.  He wanted to thank everyone for their prayers.  Continue to pray for his fast and complete recovery.

8/29/2006

I had a tumor on my face close to my hairline, I had this tumor for years, and it was benign. Since I am a breast cancer survivor, I of course had this check out my doctor. The children at my church started asking about the tumor. Uh, what is on your face Sister Brenda, I would tell me that it was a tumor. One day one of the boy’s, age five put his hand on it and the other children prayed with him. They prayed a simple prayer for God to heal me. As I said I had had this tumor for years, within two weeks the tumor was gone.

Also, my dad who was just a week or two away from being 80 years old was on a 10 foot ladder working on his roof, he fell on a bed of rocks. It should have killed him, but he had a shattered heel, the bones in his foot were sideways. The orthopedic doctor told my mom that he had no idea how he would fix my dad foot. My mom called me and told me this, the pain was unbearable. I went to church the next day which was Sunday, I had my cell phone, I called my dad and these same children ages 4 – 6 years of age prayed for my dad on the phone. My dad said that the pain eased and he knew that God was going to answer the children’s prayer.

He said he could feel his foot being healed. In six weeks he went back to have the cast removed, the doctor was shocked. My dad’s heel was only 1/8 inch from being completely healed. His bones in his feet were back where they should be. The doctor said he didn’t know what happened but he was grateful. He didn’t expect my dad to walk again. My dad told him the Lord had healed him. My dad said it was the prayers of the children. He is back to his old self. Walking and doing his lawn etc.

The same little boy who is five that prayed for my dad and me, his mother’s friend was in a wreck and was hurt. When her little 5 year old heard this he started to his room. She ask him where he was going, he said if the Lord could heal Sis. Brenda’s dad’s foot, he was going to pray for his mother’s friend. He knew God could heal her leg. When he got back to the living room his mom ask what he had done. He told her he was praying like Sis. Brenda showed him how.

I know that children’s prayers work. I just wish that there had been a Network of Prayer years ago. Maybe we would have more adults interested in prayer.

6/24/2006 Sis. LaRay Waltmon, pastor's wife in Murray KY is still in the Neo-Natal Unit at Jackson TN but is doing well and if all goes well, will have a caesarean birth on July 4th. Her original due date was August 10th. Pray that everything continues to go well.

My Dad (Pete) fell off a 10 foot ladder, he will be 80 in July, he shattered his heel and the bones in his foot were sideways. The orthopedic surgeon told my mom that he didn’t know how he was going to fix his foot. He didn’t think my dad would ever walk again. I teach the 4-6 year olds, I told my children in Sunday School about my dad, I call him on my cell phone during Sunday School and my Sunday School children prayed for him over the phone. I called him later in the day and he told me he felt a touch. When the surgeon took off the cast a month later his foot is healing well, they will not have to do surgery and the doctor is amazed. My dad told him that prayer changes things. He is walking on his foot. PRAISE BE TO GOD!  Sis. Brenda Wilson

Also, I had a tumor on my face that was not malignant but looked awful, my Sunday School children wanted to know what was on my face, I told them that I had had this tumor for a few years that the doctors didn’t want to take it off because it would mess up my hairline. The children prayed for me and in less than two weeks it was completely gone. OH TO HAVE FAITH AS A CHILD.. We know God is still on the throne.  Sis. Brenda Wilson

6/19/2006 Bro. Marion Harris had surgery, Friday the 16th, putting steel rods in the back of his neck to hold the spinal cord properly. The surgery was successful and he has come through recovery miraculous. He has surprised his doctors for which we give God the glory.

Please continue to pray for him, he is fighting pneumonia. As his spine heals, his respiratory system will get stronger. We know prayer changes things.

2/7/2006 Sis. Marie Anderson, wife of Rev. Michael Anderson of Morehead, Ky., called me to let me know her biopsy was O.K. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Her doctor wants her to come back and be checked in three to four months.

God is so GREAT!!!!! We are so very grateful for her report.

We want to thank all that prayed for Dean Crumbaugh, "our marine of Glasgow" while stationed in Iraq. He has returned to the states as of Monday the 21st and is to be home for good as of the end of May.

It was prayers that kept him and brought him home.

Pastor Adkins and Crumbaughs

03/09/2005    Bro. and Sis. Adkins wants to thank everyone for their prayers and calls concerning their new grandson, Preston Jerame Cole Sherman, bon Feb. 13th. His first three weeks were hard for him. He had to be readmitted to the hospital with extreme jaundice. The Lord has definitely touched him. Being involved in prayer and trusting God during this time Preston’s backslidden uncle has come back to God. Preston has been designed by the Divine and is being used of the Lord. Steve, Heather, and the Adkins family are thankful for the blessing of the Lord.

09/27/2004    My daughter Bethany Carter's hives and problems with angioedema have become less frequent! Thanks to all of the KY District for calling her name out before the Lord in your prayers! God bless all of you and may He answer your prayers and supply your needs as well. Theresa Carter

02-04-2004    Sis. Brenda Wilson's surgery was successful and the the tumor was benign. She is recovering from her surgery and is doing well. We thank God for His healing power and for all who prayed.

12-30-2003    Dear Friends and Family: Thank you all for your overwhelming response of cards, flowers and phone calls. We are very grateful today as my husband's surgeon himself called with the Pathology reporting that there was no malignancy found. He said that it was a difficult study is consulting with a colleague at Vanderbilt. He said that the tumor appeared as a big empty "hull" of skin, as if it were once solid and his exact words; "like something was zapped out of it". We all know what that could mean. He is scheduled for one more surgery on the other vocal chord as they couldn't do both at once for fear of damage. The other side is definitely polyps which are very common but still need to come out for speech clarity. He will then go through 6 weeks of speech therapy and wear some ear gear when he preaches. ( If you know where we can get ear monitors cheap, please let us know. They are prescribed by his Doctor but are considered optional prosthetic and insurance will not cover) He should be able to preach by the end of March with no restrictions. Again, thank you all! We have had a blessed year and we love all of you. It's all uphill from here! James and Gayla Maroney
